Four New Hampshire Hospitals Receive Lower Grades for Patient Safety

Posted by Holly Haines on April 29, 2015

Leapfrog, a national nonprofit organization that grades hospitals on patient safety measures, downgraded four New Hampshire hospitals for patient safety in the last six months.

Exeter Hospital was downgraded from an A to a C since last fall.  According to Leapfrog, that large of a downgrade only occurred to 11 other hospitals in the entire nation.  Parkland Medical Center in Derry went in the opposite direction since last fall.  This spring they received an A grade while they'd received a C last fall.

The other three New Hampshire hospitals that witnessed their grades drop were Concord Hospital, Frisbie Memorial Hospital, and St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.
